Managers, supervisors or those nominated by the organisation to carry out health and safety display screen equipment (DSE) assessments in accordance with current legislation.

Aims
To provide nominated health and safety DSE assessors with the skills and knowledge to competently undertake DSE assessments in order to comply with the Health and Safety (Display Screen equipment) Regulations 1992.
Objectives
At the end of the course, candidates will be able to:
understand the principles of risk assessment;
understand the legislation and legal duties applying to the use of DSE;
understand the assessor’s duties and responsibilities;
understand the common hazards and risks associated with the use of DSE;
understand risk reduction strategies;
apply basis ergonomic principles to the workstation;
conduct practical DSE risk assessments within their organisation.
